Best school in western of USA.

I think it's good that your telling your opinions, so someone doesn't go all the way over there and find out it's not as demanding as they thought and they don't want to stay there. There's the good & bad sides to all schools, it's just we don't hear about it much.

I'm not offended at all, it's why my son is going back east to SPS or Groton. We live 5 minutes from RLS (the community) /.

TKS you might/probably will have to repeat your year if your going to HADES or the few previously mentioned others. It's impossible to recreate their freshman year at RLS ,and you would be behind the 8 ball from the start if you didn't.

Who's your favorite teacher at Stevenson?

what's about George school in PA, I am considering 2 schools. I love both schools, anyone has any comments

THis thread will get posts about West US Schools. To find out more about George School in Pennsylvania, start a new thread. I think there has been a little bit of conversation about George School already - you could search for old posts using the search function.

I think the top private prep schools in western USA with respect to college admissions are ‘The Harker school’ in San Jose and the ‘Harvard-Westlake School’ in LA.

It sounds like the OP is international and looking to board.

siliconvalleymom: It never occured to me that OP wanted to know the best boarding school. I thought it was the best school.

I am pretty sure siliconvalleymom is right because what is the point of OP discovering that there is a killer day school in some other part of the western united states?

btw Harvard Westlake is indeed a very strong school academically as is Brentwood School. They are probably the best traditional style prep type schools in west la. There is also the Polytechnic in Pasadena and Crossroads in west la that is much more progressive.
