Best schools for Communication Major

Hello all, just finished with DS13, all set for Dickinson!
Now onto DD14... Good student with 3.8 GPA SAT still in progress hope for 2000. Has decided she wants a school with a strong Communication, and marketing majors. We live in NJ, and would like to focus on Northeast, and Midatlantic.
She loves diversity as well. Any insight?

Newhouse School at Syracuse instantly comes to mind. With her scores it should be a high match/low reach.

And don’t discount Rutgers. I know several successful graduates. . . I’m even related to a few.

-Boston University
-Ohio University
-American University
-George Washington University

Those are among the top schools for communications aside from Syracuse.

Thank you for the reccomendations. My oldest DD is a very successful Grad from Rutgers. Youngest DD is not feeling it. Syracuse has too much snow for her liking. Will look into Ohio, and have BU American and GW on our list.
Any other suggestions?

Let’s see…Washington and Lee has a pretty good program too. I’ll try and think of others.

Take a look at Ithaca College (NY)
Emerson College (MA)-not very good financial aid.

With one in Dickinson and another going in, will you be applying for financial aid?

No. We are full pay.

you have great choices

Northwestern, Umiami, American, GW, Boston College.

All strong in communications, all diverse. Umiami, AU and GW are matches, Boston College is a high match, and Northwestern is a reach

Thanks all!
