I am looking for any school in the country where I could get a scholarship so I only have to pay about 10k a year. My GPA in college right now is 3.6 and I have excellent community service hours, and am also in Phi Theta Kappa. Can anyone recommend some schools to look at?

Go to the Transfer Students forum, look at the sticky Resource thread for a link to transfer merit aid. Merit for transfers tends to be for smaller amounts than for fr admissions, so the 10 figure is going to be difficult.

Entomom is right. Your $10k figure would just cover room, board, and books. It’s doubtful a transfer student is going to get a full tuition scholarship…especially with a 3.6 GPA…since soooooo many kids would have that GPA or better.

What schools do you have in your area that you could commute to?

You need to drag yourself into the Transfer Counselor’s office at your community college, and find out where students in your situation have received the kind of aid that you need. That person should have lots of useful advice for you. Here is a link to the transfer information at out local community college. Some of it is specific for students in Maryland, but much of it should apply to you as well.

Good luck!
