I just completed (Class of '11) a Master’s program (Television, Radio and Film) at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School. For writing, it offered nothing substantial. Teachers had only minimal experience in screenwriting. There was no requirement to submit a sample of my writing as part of my application. Most other Masters students were interested in production jobs. For them, I can’t imagine how that Master’s was better than simply saving the money and moving to LA, making friends and finding entry level jobs. Writers, DO NOT attend the SU TRF Master’s Program!
