My go-to was Lancôme’s Self Tanning Bronzer, but it looks like they’ve stopped making it. It’s the only one I’ve ever used, no orange whatsoever. So…I’m looking for a new one. What do you use?
Go outside? (But don’t get sunburned.)
I use Jergens - available at Target.
Swam everyday without sunscreen on my legs. Best tanning location and I had very tone legs to boot, the emphasis is on HAD.
I also use Jergens. My daughter likes St. Tropez.
Lol, I also use Jergens in the spring before I have natural color from being outside. Others might be better but I’ve never felt the Jergens turned orange and after a few applications I could notice a desired light “tan”.
I also use the Jergens and am happy with the color. I have the same thing for the face, but haven’t tried it yet.
I also use Jergens to add a bit of color for when I where shorts or shorter dresses. I don’t get sun on myself if at all possible since I am very fair skinned (blonde hair and blue eyes) and have had many basal cell skin cancers removed.
@ucbalumnus No no no! She asked for self tanner, much healthier than a tan from the sun
Thanks all! Jergen’s it is!
I just bought L’Oréal Sublime Bronze. I’m Irish and very fair skinned but I bought it in Medium. I love it. Put it on before bed. Next morning I put it on again and then showered around noon. I actually looked like I had a tan. I’ve used Jergens for years but feel like it takes forever to actually look like I have any color at all. I even used the L’Oréal
on my face and it looked great. No streaking at all. It also gives your skin a bit of a shimmer which I like.
I’ve had good luck with Sally Hansen airbrush legs if the color is only needed for a day. It will wash right off in the shower. It’s very easy to apply and doesn’t streak.
If by chance you are looking to use self-tanner as a cover-up - Dermablend has an amazing body makeup line. Cover incredibly well and stays put even in water.
I’m very sensitive to smells. Any self tanners that don’t have that DHA smell? I’ve done professional spray tans in the past for special occasions, but those can get pricy.
