automatic acceptance to harvard?

aww come on, if you wrote a best seller book you should know NO ONE knows for sure, and that if you are really accomplished, you may have an exponentially better chance if you stand out from the typical val. + president + ecs. you're not rubbing it in are you?

Was this you? You really published a #1 NYT bestseller?

I think you would be b/c that's the kind of thing that will be all over the news "#1 Bestselling Teenager to Attend Harvard." Compare this to the publicity of this article: "Student Ranked 2/406 w/ 2380 SAT to Attend Harvard." If you get my drift...

wow -----that's really cool! was it you? what was the book?

I, uh, assume this was a hypothetical question. Generally when 17-year-olds write #1 NYT bestsellers it tends to be in the news. At any rate, if you write a bestseller at that age, you really have better things to obsess about (and probably to do with your time) than going to Harvard.

Eragon author was 16... Dunno if he made the news...

He most certainly was. Famous kid.
