Best Song of the 21st Century

Well I am bored. Lets hear what you all think. For me it is Eminem's Stan. This song proved that he was ,infact, a lyrical genius. This song also established him as one of the greatest emcees of all time. What are your favorites of all time?

Clocks- Coldplay

But I like the whole Keane CD too!!!

no. way.

c is for cookie - cookie monster

any love- Luther vandross

I think that's the title

Nightwish - Ghost Love Score.

Listen to it. Love it. It's beautiful.

Jesus of Suburbia - Green Day

Green Day-Boulevard of Broken Dreams

Yes, because not just anyone can write a line so profound as "Put Anthrax on a Tampax and slap you till you can't stand." ;)

Oh yeah, Boulevard of Broken Dreams was awesome too...

perhaps boulevard of broken dreams

or mr brightside by the killers

"Your Hand In Mine" by Explosions in the Sky.

Absolutely spectacular.

Gonna have to go with Yeah by Usher.

I can't decide 'cause there are too many!!

"The Quiet Things that No One Ever Knows" by Brand New
"Konstantine" by Something Corporate
"Such Great Heights" by Postal Service
"Collide" by Howie Day
"What it is to Burn" by Finch

"The Quiet Things.." is DEFINITELY my favorite. You should all download it (illegally if necessary!!) :)

P.S.- This is a good thread

P.P.S.- Tell me if you like any of these songs lol..

The Killers-Somebody Told Me

" Yeah" that's the best song you could come up with ?

haha...this is sad. "somebody told me" and "boulevard of broken dreams"? i mean i like these songs and all but the best of the 21st century? i can't think of any right now though. i do love the coldplay song "scientist" from their 2nd album "a rush of blood to the head".

Rainbow Kirby, I agree. Ghost Love Score is brilliant in every way.

I really like En Vie by Apocalyptica, too.

"Go it Alone"- Beck
"American Idiot"- Green Day
"Seven Nation Army"- White Stripes
"Knives Out"/"The National Anthem" - Radiohead
"Float On"- Modest Mouse
"Mad World"- Gary Jules
"Island in the Sun"/"Dope Nose"- =W= (Weezer)

Of those, I'd say "American Idiot" is tops because it's a great punk anthem, and it's social context is quite fitting and it's message is well crafted.

Radio singles?
Postal Service - "Such Great Heights" (Yeah KRabble!)
(Sleeping In is amazing, too)
Coldplay - "The Scientist"
Evanescence - "My Immortal"

::makes sure nobody I know checks out this forum...ok::
Michelle Branch - "Goodbye to You"
Sarah McLachlan - "World on Fire"

Two of my guilty pleasures.

Ever Fallen in Love by the Buzzc0cks, or anything by them, for that matter.

Or anything by Billy Idol or Placebo.
