what is the best source of sat/psat questions that aren't put out by the collegeboard?
(Princeton Review, Kaplan, Barrons??)
I have run out of official CB material.

I think you’re out of luck. NOTHING can compare to the College Board questions.

yeah but im asking what the second best option is

Barron’s is a little too hard and in my opinion maybe slightly unorganized (I don’t believe in the notion that harder than the real thing problems help in the long run at all). Princeton Review (Although some friends swear that this is the stuff) tests things,at least in the writing section, that do not appear on the real exam (Their critical reading is not really accurate). Kaplan is simply…Kaplan not really worth it (They try to test every single detail that “might” appear on the exam). You might want to check out Perfect Score project and see how Kaplan helped her (Sarcastically speaking).

Frankly none really do the job. Except, there is one company called “Testprofessors” which have pretty accurate questions that are up to par. They have different prep books for SAT maybe you should check them out. I can only attest for the math book. I have seen from their preview tests that the Writing Section is accurate. Might sound like I’m advertising but I am in no way affiliated.

One alternative would be to seek out QAS (previously administered SAT’s) if you haven’t already.

There are various practice tests from the CollegeBoard (the free ones they give every year as a practice which also help)

The 1st edition of the Official SAT study guide has like I think three exams that aren’t on the second edition.

The 10 Real SAT’s prep books which date pre-2005 so they are only useful for the critical reading and some math sections. Might find a good copy on Amazon or Ebay.

It has been known that PSAT’S recycle Critical Reading sections from past SAT’s. I heard somewhere that PSAT’s are commonly sold but I don’t know.

I NED A Pe*il “supposedly” has “virtually the same questions but are simulated” so I wouldn’t know as i have not checked the site out.

Rocket Review book also supposedly has good practice but it is a little on the expensive side as it is OOP. Check Amazon and Ebay.

Other than that… review your past material and see and understand the errors you have made. Review and Re-do the problems you got wrong with the official questions.

More detailed response, hope that helped :).

Even though the other tests aren’t as completely accurate as the collegeboard ones, I still suggest to you to take any tests that you can get a hold of. From my experience, Princeton review is fairly accurate, even though the CR was a bit harder. Barron’s was definitely harder in the math compartment, but it was still really good practice. The mcgraw hill practice tests are good too, even though the passages are a bit longer than what is actually presented on the test. However, although these tests may not be completely accurate, they will still help you improve your score because you get use to the SAT format and you begin to develop strategies that work for you.

thanks Rickdaily for the super detailed response
very clear
and thanks MMAfAnatic9 too.
