Hey everyone I'm back !

There's probably a bunch of new peeps that I don't know but that's chill, euhm I have decided that I will be reapplying so...

What is the best SSAT Review book ? And what are some good books that explain/portray college/boarding school admissions ?

Princeton Review boyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Also, I’ve decided I’m on here too much for someone who’s rarely on the computer. Must be changed /endthreaddiversion

Thanks RAD ohh and yeah I took a break from CC, I’m just focusing on having a great summer and all lol.

Princeton’s good for English, but Kaplan’s best for math because it explains how to do each problem.

SSAT has a book you can order by the SSAT people. check their website.

Yeah but I ordered the SSAT book through them and I never got it. BE WARNED

BARRON’S!!! It’s fresh and its not dull. It helped me tons with vocabulary and math. + Stay away fro McGraw Hill, It’s expensive and doesn’t cover everything.

I bought the Princeton Review, but I haven’t started studying yet… It is summer after all! I’m probably taking it in December, although I might take it for practice in October. When should I start seriously studying? I don’t want to forget everything!

so the general consensus is that princeton is more preferred than Kaplan…well I guess I have a return to make then…

Princeton review!! I’ve also used McGraw Hill’s but dont really find it useful

Most of my peers who used the Princeton Review got in the 95th percentile or higher. I’m using a Kaplan book right now, and it seems decent. They have ‘plans’ to figuring out the problems that would be on the test. the princeton review books are really good for vocab - i know that for sure.

Buy both the Princeton Review and Kaplan. PR I remember had quite a few practice tests while Kaplan covers both ISEE and SSAT (they differ somewhat) so there aren’t as many SSAT practice tests. However Kaplan has a great work bank/dictionary of the most popular words in the back of the book which others I believe don’t (except for Barron’s which makes you go research the definition which honestly is straight up annoying as hell.)

Search books.google.com (“Cracking the SSAT” or “Kaplan SSAT”). Some of the books are available online. Both the Kaplan and PR books are available as a preview.

I recommend the SSAT books by Ivy Global. It’s the most comprehensive set of SSAT material on the market right now. It’s a little pricey at $140 for the set, but it doesn’t combine the SSAT and ISEE like PR and Kaplan.

As for PR and Kaplan, I think PR would probably be better for Upper Level and Kaplan for Middle Level. Also, I’m not sure if any of the books cover the new Lower Level yet. Does anybody know any good books for the LL?
