I have a friend who will be attending Kutztown University this fall. She is very talented and motivated, as she qualified for national competition in forensics (speech and debate) and Future Business Leaders of America. She was also ranked in the top 10 of our class.

She will be a part of their honors college, and she is studying English. She has met some classmates and they seem to be like-minded. Kutztown does have a party reputation, and I have known other students that go there that have similar mindsets to what you are describing.

Overall, I think KU (and their honors program) would be a decent “safety” for you. It’s not particularly outstanding in any programs (although I heard library science was pretty good), and it has a reputation for “partying”. Finally, I believe that you will find motivated and intelligent individuals at any institution of higher education.

Good Luck
