Best Study Method...

What did you 2000+ SAT people find to be the best study method - which websites, books, etc. do you recommend? Also did you get a private tutor and did it help you? Please, give me all advice about SATs because I'm freaking out. Also state your score. Thanks so much!

The almost uncontested advice is to do Blue Book (the official SAT study guide by the College Board) practice tests.

I didn’t study my first time around (I wanted to see how well I could do without preparation to get an idea of where I was at), but I have a Princeton Review SAT review book for the next time I take the test.

I haven’t looked at it thoroughly yet, but so far it appears to be pretty helpful. Their ACT one was for sure, so I would think this one would be similarly useful.

I just did BB tests and now i have my private tutor (well sort of…it’s more of a small group tutoring…but there are days when im the only one being tutored)

While I can’t argue with the BB crowd, I will say it’s important to find your study style. This might mean spending some time in a bookstore browsing, borrowing books from friends, or poking around the internet. I’m an SAT tutor and most of my students get 2200 and up. Of course, they are motivated enough to get a tutor, so I give them most of the credit. The books that I always teach come from this site:[2200+ SAT Prep](<a href=“SAT 1, SAT Books, 2200+ SAT Preparation Strategy @ MY-SAT.com”>SAT 1, SAT Books, 2200+ SAT Preparation Strategy @ MY-SAT.com)

I especially recommend their math books as they don’t skim over any topics–it’s all very clear and comprehensive. ebooks are usually much more affordable, so look around for some you like.

Eat oranges. A lot of oranges.
