Best SUNY school for political science

I'm a high school senior considering becoming a political science major...I've pretty much narrowed my selection process down to just SUNY schools (unless I were to get a scholarship to a private school), so I was wondering if someone could help.

SUNY Buffalo according to Gourman Report

Hmm, is there a full listing of how the SUNY schools rank with regard to polisci? Or maybe the top 5-10 or so? Thank you very much.

If I were choosing a SUNY school to study political science, I'd go with Albany, given its location in the state capital.

if you are just "considering" this major, don't choose a suny based just on this. binghamton is the top suny university - and it is the county seat so there is local political stuff around if you are interested. much stronger reuptuation in general than albany.

SUNY Geno is supposed to have a good poli sci dept, if you're looking for a more LACish place.

ALBANY! It's in the state capital, has great internship resources and opportunities.

albany, binghamton, and geneseo are all VERY different - size, location, social atmostphere. you have to consider more carefully what is important to you about your college experience. you can find a good poli sci dept - but do you want a smaller school in a very rural area (geneseo), a small university center in a smaller city/suburban setting (binghamton - the school is actually in a suburb of the city of binghamton), or do you want a big school, with an active party scene, in a bigger city (albany - note, i said bigger, not big :) -- all depends on where you are coming from)

focusing just on one dept that you think you may be interested in is going to distort your consideration. the suny system has a wide array of schools that vary tremendously in size, location, selectivity, etc. regardless of which has a better dept, ones experience at buffalo would be vastly different than ones experience at oneonta, for example. think about what other criteria matter to you.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I'll take everything into consideration.
