<p>Hi quick question. I just talked to a counselor at my current CC and he convinced me to drop my language class and wait on sending my transcript. His reasoning was that it is better to take all your years of language at the same place(made perfect sense to me) and that I should wait until fall semester is over(to show even better grades)</p>
<p>Would you agree? I am going to call UofM soon and ask their feelings, but after thinking it through it does make sense to me. The transfer admission deadline is Feb 1. Fall semester ends in December. Would it be best to apply later so I can submit my transcripts with another semester of grades? I have a 3.7ish, but I am confident I can get a 4.0 this semester..Any input from those who have gone through this?</p>
<p>Sent in my app on the last day and it worked for me (transferred after one year). I’d think it would be best to wait after the Fall semester to send in your grades.</p>
<p>It will be easier to take all your foreign language within one program, this is true. I waited until after my last Fall semester at community college to submit my app because I was retaking a math course, which raised my gpa from a 3.0 to a 3.5 pretty much by itself. However due to Christmas break, this meant that they were unable to complete my file until the end of January even though everything was sent by Christmas-- and I believe the deadline for Fall was Feb 1st. So if you’re application is in any way weak you may not want to apply on top of the deadline like that.</p>
<p>Thanks to both of you so much! I’m going to hold off submitting my app until after fall semester. It will still be well before the deadline and include 14 more credits of top notch work. I don’t feel my app is weak per say, but I know it will be stronger after another good semester.</p>
