Best time to take SAT in Junior year

When is the best time to take the SAT's in Junior year? I'm thinking about applying early decision, so counting on Senior year is a big risk.

HEY ME TOO! Im going to be a Junior this year and also planning to take the SAT's. I'd prefer to take them sooner than later, how about you? what have you done to prepare yourself?

I've taken a Kaplan course, but it sucks @_@
Some people said there are curves for certain months...which is what I'm wondering about

take it AT THE EARLIEST in january. no earlier.
i took it for the first time in april, never had to take it again. i could have, if i wanted, to. if you take it in january, you have time to retake in april, may, OR june (but if you take it in april you won't get your scores back in time to know if you have to register for may.)
so: take it in january if you know you're going to need retakes (because you'll have 3 opportunities to retake after january--april/may, june, and in the fall). if you think you'll do well, take it in april, leaving you an option of retaking in june or the fall)

Thank You Soo Much! Im Going To Go Ahead And Take It In January, And Depending On My Scores Ill Retake It April.
The Reason Why I Ask Was Because Pepperdine University Is Offering Summer School For High Schoolers. They Need Act And Sat Scores By May!

^What's up with your capitalization?^

Uhhh It's Called "caps Lock"

Yeah, I would say take first in January or February as sort of a diagnostic so you can see what your weaknesses and strengths are, so then you can take them in may or june [depending on if you plan on taking SAT II's which I would then recommend taking the one in may] b/c at this moment in time you have perhaps absorbed the most amount of knowledge possible to score the best on them, so...
