I’m trying to contact a bunch of professors to gain experience in a lab. What are the best types to do research on? I heard that immunology and stem cells are really helpful on students’ resume.
the best is to do what interests you, not what you think people might think would possibly look good on a resume
if you do what interests you, it’ll show. and that alone will be of a higher quality the something you did as simply a resume builder.
if you’re having trouble figuring out what field interests you, ask your bio professors. chat em up during office hours. they can better help to guide you based off of your interests in class and what not, and they might be better situated to reach out to colleagues or have knowledge of certain teams/labs doing work.
personally ive heard of computational biology, which involves computer science. and computation skills are always in high demand no matter where you go. it’s an important skill to learn.
