I have applied to UCB, UCSD, UCI, and UCLA as a bio major hoping to get an MD some day. However, I've recently decided to take the path of a pharmacist instead. Seeing as how I can no longer apply to a 0-6 pharmacy program at UOP or the like, which UC would be the best choice? Thank you in advance for your help.

UCSF, of course… :)

Kidding aside, all will serve you well and provide the education necessary to reach your goals. The key is choosing a campus that suits you where you can buckle down, focus on your studies and have some fun.

The campuses are quite different environments. I would suggest visiting the campuses to which you are admitted and then decide.

Sorry for the incredibly late reply, past two weeks have been pretty hectic.

With all of the decisions in, I’ve gotten acceptances at UCB, UCI, UCSD and have been waitlisted at UCLA.

I’m split between either UCB and UCSD at the moment…and I noticed that you attended Cal in the past and was wondering if you could give me a general idea of what the academic life might be there?

I understand that due to its prestige it must attract a LOT of smart people and I’m just not sure if I want to placed in that type of environment.

Yes, academics are great and classes are tough with many fantastic minds. However, you were accepted as well and obviously have the smarts to do well.

IMHO, Berkeley has way more to offer as a college experience versus UCSD (aka University of California Socially Dead).

Hahaha that’s pretty much the last little nudge I needed. Thanks for your time and consideration. I think I’ll go submit my SIR now :)

Congrats! Good Luck and GO BEARS!!
