Can someone rank the following schools on best undergrad program for Biology? Specifically more of human biology or physiology:

I'd like to know because UCD is causing me a hassle to qualify for TAG, making me take an Ecology class that has a couple of weekend field trips that will make me miss work and other activities I have planned already for those dates. Also this class is going to add to the load.

To learn about REAL ecology (like as in, quantitatively model populations, or to track pollutant transport) you need a Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Statistics degree.

UCSB has a great chemical engineering program. UCI also has an environmental/ecological emphasis in Chemical Engineering as well as a straight up Environmental Engineering degree. The fake ecology you learn at the School of Biological Sciences is useless, qualitative and doesn’t help you learn anything about the environment.

UCR is decent but suffers from a poor location and management difficulties that makes it less desirable for Californians. UCI is decent too but with a eh location and excess micromanagement that is not for everyone.

UCSD and UCD are the strong undergrad Bio schools with large grants and modern facilities. If you don’t mind living in a rural nor-cal college town(not by the beach) then go to the University of Cow Dung. If you like living in some stale so-cal tweet tweet suburb(tho by the beach) then go to UC Socially Dead.
