Best Undergrad B school in NJ?

I live in New Jersey and I’ve been looking for a good undergrad school for business. The reason i’m having such a tough time choosing is because I want to work in banking(IB), meaning I want to major only in finance. The trouble with the banking world is that reputation of the school matters. My only option as of now is Rutgers New Brunswick.

Another thing is the cost. Schools over $20k would be a burden for me. I don’t know if it helps but I only live with 1 parent who is low income, and I also happen to be an immigrant and will be a first gen college student. I am quite a neophyte with the whole college thing so I don’t really know how financial aid works. However, I would be willing to go out of state if the cost is reasonable. All I really want is the best chance at entering the banking world.

Also, I have a 3.9 GPA and an 1850 SAT.

Check out Trinity College (CT), Holy Cross (MA), and Franklin & Marshall (PA).
These 3 private schools claim to cover 100% of demonstrated financial need (although they would be reaches for your test scores). You could major in economics at any of the 3. HC has an accounting major. F&M offers a “Business, Organizations & Society” major. Like most other small liberal arts colleges, they do not have business schools. The University of Richmond also claims to cover 100% of demonstrated need, and does have a well-regarded undergraduate business school. It would be a reach for your scores.

Loyola University Maryland would be a bit less selective than any of the above. It does not claim to cover 100% of demonstrated need, but claims on average to cover ~94%. It offers accounting and finance majors.

Run the online net price calculators on these or any other schools that interest you, to see if they would in fact be affordable.

Holy Cross is test optional, and also gives great financial aid I think, so check them out. U Richmond is definitely a reach because of your scores. You could check out TCNJ too. Ranked #1 in NJ for business.
