My plan is to attend the university of georgia for my undergraduate degree, then obtain my masters from georgia tech in biomedical engineering. The thing is, i am unsure what would be the best major to study for my undergrad

these are the majors that I looked at and think could work

biochemical engineering
biochemistry/molecular biology
applied biotechnology
biological engineering (biomed emphasis)
biology

Which of these would ypu consider to be the best choice? Is biology too broad? Is biomed eng ineering to narrow?

In the future, I want to work in Biomedical Engineering but I’ve decided, with teh advice of many people here, to start with Mechanical Engineering as my undergraduate degree then study Biomedical Engineering as my graduate studies.

Their advice was that it’d be best to start with a traditional engineering major to get a better grounding the engineering and the applied sciences. Stuff like biological and biomedical engineerign tends to be too broad, taking a little bit of everything.

In your situation, I would take Biochemical Engineering.

An engineering major is a better choice than science or technology.
