best undergrad program for econ

so wat schools have a better undergrad program for econ?
esp. for west coast.
and what econ job do ppl usually get?

Better, or Best? Stanford is obviously going to have the best on that coast. The Ivies + UChicago and Northwestern, etc will round out the rest of the US.

Econ majors go on to do just about everything…banking, consulting, law, journalism, other aspects of business, government, academia…

^^^
Add MIT

uchicago comes to mind when i hear econ

just look at the top grad econ programs. usually the same.

Claremont McKenna, USC, UCLA, Berkeley, Stanford for west coast. Very few jobs exactly in Econ… it is a degree that places into most any entry level management or sales job.

DunninLA pretty much named all of them.
The job you want also depends on what area of specialization you’ll seek in econ. Personally, I think UChicago is one of the best schools in this field

I second the Claremont McKenna recommendation, esp. with your interest in West Coast schools.
