Admit rate to UCLA for OOS is 27% so it's not that hard. UCLA needs money.

There were only 443 applicants.

Yes, but 1314 applied. Only 443 had the right qualifications...Haas has very specific prerequisite requirements for admission.

The following schools came to my mind for best undergrad business schools. Not ranked in order:

Wharton
Sloan (MIT)
U of Virginia
U of Michigan
Berkeley
USC
Cornell
Georgetown
U of Texas
Boston College
UIUC
NYU Stern
Emory
Notre Dame

Some programs, such as Emory, UMich, or Cal Berkeley have their business programs start off either Sophomore or Junior year, meaning you have to apply to these programs once you are in college. (Except UMich Ross preferred admit program) But, I believe all the other schools on the list accept high school applications directly for their business programs.

UCLA doesn't have a true undergraduate business degree. If you really want a business degree, USC is the better option in LA. Also, USC does not discriminate against non-Californians in admission as the UCs do.

Patlees' list looks about right. I would add Carnegie Mellon (Tepper), Indiana (Kelley) and UNC-Chapel Hill (kenan Flagler) and the list would be complete!
