Which is the best universities to study IR?
Also, is yale 'better' than princeton in this field?
Cheers

The differences between HYP in any field are thunderingly minute.

I'd say:
Georgetown
Johnns Hopkins
Princeton
Columbia
Tufts
George Washington

Johnny- There are several fields where one of the HYP are not as highly rated.

To the OP- I agree with the above list, however any top poli sci dept will also have a top IR program.

I'd only advise that if you do pursue Princeton for IR/IS, understand that its main IR attraction (the Woodrow Wilson School of Public & International Affairs) is a public policy school and not necessarily an IR one. A good school, but not exactly focused on IR. There are IR courses within the politics department, though, and the administration is in the middle of an initiative to build up its IR faculty and course offerings.

I'd also look at LACs for undergrad, you have time for the like of Princeton during graduate school.

Swarthmore
Macalester
Bucknell
Colgate
Claremont McKenna
Pomona
Dickinson
