Bio majors, like biotechnology or genetics... Stuff like that!

UPenn has a very strong biochem program - probably the best in the Ivies. I’m not sure, but I imagine MIT is pretty strong as well.

Ok thanks!! But what about jhu? I’ve always heard about premed and med school there, what about other things in bio sciences?

Honestly, I’ve always heard that while the med school is strong there are better bioscience undergrad programs out there. Same with WashU.

Which ones are good then, agc0319?

Besides UPenn and MIT I would also recommend Purdue, Oregon State, and Northwestern. I’m not the biggest expert on science, but I would also say you might look into UCLA and Georgia Tech.

I would think CAL, UCLA, and, of course, Tufts, PF. And University of Chicago, of course, but at Univ. of Chicago, you need to have the social fit of being intellectual and a couch potato–sports are pretty eschewed there.

Ah, yes, Dartmouth would likely have VERY strong bio-sciences. But, beware, despite academic excellence, it is very Greek, hard-drinking, and isolated. That is fine for some people and repellant for others. It’s what crossed Dartmouth right off of my daughter’s list.

Stanford, Harvard, UCLA, MIT, JHU.
