Best US History Book for SAT 2?

What is the best book to prep for the US History SAT 2 test? In old threads, everybody was recommending AMSCO and REA, but those threads were from 2008 and 2009, and I can't find the books from back then on Amazon. Are the new and more recent AMSCO and REA books any good? And the AMSCO and REA books seemed to be prep for the AP exam. Do the AP exam and SAT 2 test cover the same material?

AMSCO is the boss of every book, and yes it still is the best book out there,it is mainly for AP US history so read the AMSCO book it is more in depth and provides a great foundation for your SAT as well as AP. So read AMSCO throughly and then read keplan and if you have time you can also read direct hits, its concise and great.
And with these books and practise you can score a perfect 800.

Can anyone confirm how difficult the (6) practice tests in the REA SAT II USH book are? Because I’ve done 3 and got 710 on each of them; a 710 is not going to do for my subject test score. It’s too late for me to go get Kaplan or something, I’m stuck w/ this REA book. Thanks.

the REA ones are the easiest ive done i think, besides maybe princeton. I took one before i started studying and got a 680. Ive done tests from 4 different sources and I think barrons is the best for preparing you

do you guys know how accurate the sparknotes online tests are? they seem harder than the official tests I took

i literally just took one and i got a 710. i heard they dont have a curve though. so, for example, if the test i just took had been the real thing i mayve really scored a 720 or 730. where do you find “official tests?”
