Best way of getting Scholarships and how much?

Hiya,
I am currently a Junior, but my last day is Wednesday and I will then be a senior. Is it too late to start applying for scholarships or is it still possible to gain some money from them?

What is the best method of gaining scholarships?

How much is a probable amount to assume you may win in scholarships?

You see, I am trying to gain money for George Washington University, an extremely expensive university, and after a talk with my parents, they aren't willing to pay that amount of money for a college. The problem is, I won't get ANY money from financial aide because my family is fairly prosperous, so I am stuck with the whole tuition and no money to pay it with.

Here are my stats to base potential scholarships off of to see about how much I could get...

GPA: 3.65 UW, 4.2 W
10 AP classes... (Euro History, US History, Language, Biology, Calc AB, Calc BC, Literature, Chem, Econ, and Gov.)
SAT's:
Math: 800
Writing: 750
CR: 700

Student Government: (4 Years)
Will be President of my entire school next year. (Top position possible.)
NHS: 2 years. (All it offered)
Calculus Squad
SSBTR (Students Supporting Brain Tumor Research Co-President next year) A walk in which we raise money for brain tumors. Raised over $1M since I have been involved.
Varsity Lacrosse: (2 years. Varsity captain last year. Quit this year and don't plan on playing again)
Baskin Robbins employee for 2 years soon enough. (and have been promoted to the highest position possible)
Debate Club (1 Year. Will get involved senior year. Something I am extremely passionate about, just never got around to it.)

8 Leadership Camps for Student Government throughout Arizona in which other Student Government kids go.
State Convention for Student Government. (2 years and selective.)
National Convention for Student Government. (Fairly prestigious and highly selective.)

I honestly wouldn't mind apply to 100's of scholarships if it would actually be beneficial. Any information would be great. Thanks!

I think it’s extremely unlikely you’ll garner enough to meet your goal, even with your very good stats. First, many scholarships have a need based component, which will take you out of the running. The ones that don’t are generally non-renewable, which means that you’d only get that amount once. What would you do to pay for the remaining 3 years? You can certainly apply to GW if you like, but I would focus on researching other schools that you would be happy to attend and that would offer you merit scholarships. Imho, spending hundreds of hours on scholarship apps is not a wise investment of your time.
