Best way to better prepare myself for college?

i just graduated high school, and am moving on to a state college.... i was just wondering any last minute preparation i can use to gear myself better for college during these 3 months of summer. read ap review books, study for the act? anything?

Have you registered for classes yet for the fall? If you have, email a professor or two and ask what textbooks will be used in the fall. Ask them for the ISBN number so you get the right edition. Get them (order used via Amazon is a good way) and get a jump on studying for a course or two. Another option is to get a job and earn money – the less you have to work during the school year, the better your grades will be then, so going into the year with some money in the bank is a really good idea.

Other than that, be sure you keep on top of any paperwork the college sends. They want stuff like proof of health insurance, maybe you need some vaccinations updated, etc. Be sure to sign and return any financial aid paperwork, housing paperwork, etc.

The summer between HS and college I told my kids to just relax. Both took easy jobs to earn some spending money and we spent time together shopping for all the stuff you need for college. Just stay on top of anything you have to do for college in terms of getting housing, meal plan, registering for classes other forms etc.

Why do you need to take the ACT if you are already enrolled in college?
