I'd like to hear from current students or alums about what works best.
Fly to Lebanon?
Fly Boston, shuttle?
Fly Manchester, shuttle?
Bus from Logan?

I suggest the polar route, since Dartmouth is almost at the North Pole.

Dartmouth By Airplane

Lebanon (N.H.) Municipal Airport, 10 miles from the Dartmouth campus, is served by several daily flights from New York (LaGuardia), Boston (Logan) and Philadelphia International airports. Consult your travel agent for connection information. Manchester, N.H., Airport is 90 minutes south, with bus service to Hanover from Manchester.

Probably the most economical and the chance of getting the most flights Would probably be to fly into Boston and then take the bus from Logan.

But I'm from NYC, and have never ventured to your neck of the Woods, so I am sure that others Will give you options.

When I visited from Chicago, I flew into Manchester, and then took a bus. That trip was organized by the College, so I'm assuming it would be the best one. But, Chicago isn't the west coast. But the bus ride is definantly worth the 70+ mins it takes...very pretty once you get past Manchester. Manchester has a nice airport, and Southwest services it (by far the most cheap. I'm not sure if SW flies into Logan, but they may not since that would be expensive for them). Check the airlines' websites too.

I'd also recommend Manchester, and I've actually found I can often get cheaper fares into Manchester than into Logan. And the bus ride is shorter and prettier.

I'm from CA, and I always take Southwest into Manchester. Because it's Southwest I usually have to switch planes somewhere in the middle of the country, but it's cheap. You can take the bus from Manchester for around 20 dollars, which isn't bad, or you can get two friends to split a car with you. Upper Valley Car Service (I think that's what it's called) is $99, so split three ways it's pretty cheap, and they'll drop you right in front of your dorm.

Thanks much. Sounds like SWA into Manchester will work for me.

What time do you get in? Before midnight?

Last time I flew in I took a red eye and got here at about 10 in the morning...just get in whatever time you want, it doesn't matter, as long as you check the Vermont Transit bus schedule (if that's what you're taking) and make sure a bus will be here soon after you get in.

Hi Kelsey,

I hope that everything is going well.

Would flying into Burlington and then driving to D work okay?

Hey, Sybbie! It's going great!! (As always.) Thank you for asking. Right now actually I'm procrastinating studying for my test in American architecture tomorrow, which is why I popped onto CC to check up on things. I probably should start studying for real, soon...
Calidan--never done that personally, but I don't see why not.
