Best Way To get to Stanford from SFO

What is the best (quickest & cheapest) way to get from SFO to Stanford (and back) for Admit Weekend? I need to go ahead and schedule this (as I'm sure a lot of you may also) so I was wondering what everyone else is doing/has done? Ie Super Shuttle, etc. Please try to be detailed as I have gotten a lot of different, conflicting answers.

Thanks

My S is a student there and has used the Super Shuttle. It is very convenient and reliable. The most it can cost from SFO to Stanford is $26. If you make your reservations with other people, the cost is less.

[SUPERSHUTTLE - Airport Shuttle Transportation | LAX SFO DEN PHX DFW TPA JFK BWI IAD SAN DCA SMF MCI IAH LGA MSP EWR AUS SNA HOU BUR DAL OAK BNA ONT LGB RDU SJC AZA ISP PTP PIE Airports](<a href=“Supershuttle Express Black Car, SUV & Private Van”>Supershuttle Express Black Car, SUV & Private Van)

Is the $26 for one trip or for going to Stanford and coming back to the airport?

If your okay with taking public transportation, you can take BART from SFO to Millbrae (10 min ride). There you switch to caltrain and get off at palo alto station. From the platform, you will see Stanford’s margueritte shuttles waiting. [P&TS - Marguerite Shuttle](Marguerite Shuttle | Stanford Transportation)

It should only take 50ish minutes and only costs about $5 one way.

So I guess it’s either BART or SuperShuttle. Which is most recommended?

Confirm prices to make sure info. below is accurate. Supershuttle, Sam Trans bus and Cal Train have all worked for people we know.

Limousine: 24-hour advance reservation recommended

Stretch Limousine (1-7 passengers) $122.00 one-way.

Barron Limousine Sedan (1-3 passengers) $58.00 one-way. (408) 257-7794
Stretch Limousine (1-8 passengers) $83.00 one-way.

You can take public transport, but it’s a pain. You have to take a tram from your terminal to the BART station, two different BART trains (used to be one, but they added a train change a year or so ago), switch to Caltrain to Palo Alto, then finally take the Marguerite to wherever on campus you’re headed. Not worth it, in my opinion.

Most Stanford students either get rides or take Super Shuttle.
