Best way to improve math score?!

Hi everyone. After looking over my SAT scores, I cringe when I see what I got on the math section. Literally. I'm much more of an English person and I'm not naturally good at math at all.

What advice can you guys give? Are there books out there that can make things clearer for me and help raise my score? I would like a 50 point increase to be satisfied (and even then my score would be considered awful here).

Please help. I need to raise my SAT Math score!

Thank you so much!
:)

can u be mor specific as in are u talkin bout SAT Reasoning(SAT I) or SAT Subject Test(SAT II)

Is it the concepts you don't understand or how to apply those concepts?

I'm sorry. I'm talking about the SAT I.

Honestly, it's probably a little bit of both -- the concepts and the application. After Algebra 1, I just "stopped getting" math.

If you really have a hard time with math maybe it would be best to hire some external help, not necessarily one of those overpriced SAT tutors. A regular math tutor should be more than prepared to help you with the SAT, maybe buy a book or two and lend them to the tutor a few weeks before your first meeting, that way s/he can be accustomed to the SAT format etc before helping you out. Thats just what I'd do.

ye megaman makes a lot of sense..
