Best way to improve math score?

I got a 600 the first and only time i've taken the SAT. It was more lowest score by far. Any suggestions?

go over the rules for the math. get a book; Barron's is the best for reviewing the material. I went from 580 to 690 with it.

good luck

I agree with stuckon1700. Barron's has a good math review. Do all the problems in blue book and 10 reals.

Barrons is good, my friend upped his math score 90 points with it. If you add the Blue Book, 10 reals, and PR, you will definitely be a master.

Which Barron's are you referring to? The math workbook or the Barrons 2400?

Just practice a few weeks before the test. I used PR 11 practice tests and gained 100 points on the math.

math workbook barron's

It's this one right?

YOu can use barrons but that book is truly overpreparing, the princeton review math is pretty hard but i think it will suit you better. If you are aiming for an 800, use barrons. I used both princeton review and barrons and got an 800 on my SAT math

I used PR's 11 practice tests as well. It is good with probability and is about the same level as the real tests. I prefer Pr's b/c I hate doing extra stuff so I avoid bArrons. But whatever book you buy or however you approach the math, the 2 key things are 1) practice 2) recognize patterns. Don't practice mindlessly. But after each practice session review ALL the questions, even the ones you got wrong or the ques thath took more than 1 min to solve. My strategy is: 1) practice test 2) self review- look for mistakes, ways to do things faster...ect 3) ask parents/teacher. In this case I am lucky b/c both my parents r math whizzes when they were in HS.

Thanks everyone anything else?
