Best way to prep for AP Gov?

Hey guys, I was wondering what the best method is to study for AP Gov. My government teacher honestly teaches barely anything and just gives out free extra credit, so I need a book that will help me teach my self. Is crash course still as efficient as it was a few years back? Thank You.

BUMPP

barron’s is what I’m using this year/ Good luck!

I’ve heard great things about the REA Crash Course book; that’s what I’m planning on using this year; my teacher is not bad but doesn’t require much to be learned for the tests.

55-75% of the exam is institutions of government “congress, executive, bureaucracy, judicial, etc” the other 25-45% is the other 5 units. From what I’ve seen with practice tests and such so far, if you completely master that unit you’ll for sure get at the bare minimum a 3. Only unit I read my actual textbook in, rest I just took notes in class and read the PR chapter.

My plan is to read the PR chapters, and take a strong notice to institution of govt. While also just studying a quizlet vocab set of all important terms and what not.
