Best Way to prepare for Feb test

Hey,

Ok, well I would really like a 33 on the ACTs, atleast a 30 in math, the equivalent of a 700+ in SATs..

On SATs I expect my score to be for math in 600's, Writing in 600's, and Critical Reading in 700's.

So by taking ACTs I am looking to get a better score. This will be my FIRST time taking ACTs in February.

Any suggestions? Tips? Good books to use? Suggested study timetables?

If ur problem is math, just study the content. ACT has basically no tricks, its pretty straight forward.

Otherwise, read spark notes free online prep. Best thing in the world.

You realize that a 1900 SAT is far from 33 ACT?

Just take some practice ACT tests.

well I dont think its 1900 (more like 2000 I think), but yes I do see what you mean.

Unfortunately, I remember the few days before the December SATs I took a Math practice test and got 720… ahh, with only one more week of prep I knew I could have got in 700s for sure, but I doubt I did on the actual test.

So I know I can get a 700 in SATs, so I’m basically looking for the equivalent on ACTs..

2080 first stab at the SATs (never retook, it was a miserable first experience, proctor and all)…

33 first stab at the ACTs, with a 30 in reading and a 31 in English… retook, yet to find out scores…

I’d say if you get a 2000 on SATs, you could get a 33… especially if you’re better at English than I am.

Nice, what did you do to prepare?

For ACT, you really need to get your timing down. There are some good tips for that in Cracking the ACT. The tests in that book are awesome, too. Do those along with the official tests and you will see a nice improvement.
