^Exactly. I mean, I’ve had all kinds of worse things happen to my contacts, like them getting stuck in the corner of my eye or them falling on the floor/my clothes. I hardly think that whatever (invisible) dirt is on my fingers is going to make a big difference.

…Except during allergy season. Then I have to wash my hands or I get pollen all over the lenses which is SO not fun.

I don’t know, Ron Paul…mine is pretty bad as well I wear the hard contacts at night so I have 20/20 in the daytime, and I’m likewise concerned about how to put my contacts on. I can’t just pop them in; I have to wash them daily&apply an enzyme too. Sigh…

^ I’m -4.5 left, -5.00 right, but my doc (optometrist? opthamologist?) says my vision will continue to worsen until my late twenties, so I will probably beat you in a couple years lol. I want to get corrective lenses that help improve vision, because i’m afraid i’m going blind :(

…Yeah, I’m the blind-est. No sign of any kind of progressive disease, though, so once my opthamologist gives me the ok I’m getting laser surgery.

ETA:It’s nice to finally win at something, even though I’m winning at failing. ):

Lima? Unfortunately, part of me doesn’t believe you… It’s not that I think you are dishonest, I just can’t imagine vision that bad. Are you considered legally blind?

^ I just googled it because this got me curious, and in order to be considered legally blind, your vision must be 20/200 in your best eye after best correction, which I take to mean that even after wearing glasses or contacts, the vision would be 20/200 at best. (unless i’m interpreting this wrong) [Ophthalmology & Optometry: Vision Conversion Scale, visual acuity, conversion scale](http://en.allexperts.com/q/Ophthalmology-Optometry-979/Vision-Conversion-Scale.htm) I found similar info on another site. So if her vision is 20/20 when she wears contact lenses/glasses, that means she can’t be considered legally blind?

I want laser surgery too, although when I hit 50 or so my vision will start sucking again undoubtedly. But it won’t be as bad as it is now. My dad had terrible eyesight and had the procedure done a few years ago.

Boy, are you guys germaphobes or something? I just stuff them in my eyes in the morning. I don’t need a mirror or a hand wash before doing it, although I usually try to. If you want to do it by a sink, do it by a sink! Its the CASE for the contact lenses, geezus. Who cares what it touches.

I agree with tmiles. The case is just a CASE. Go to the bathroom, wash your hands, put your contacts in, clean your case, and set them somewhere to dry.

…A fugly picture, but one that contains PROOF!

(Also, whoever posted that bit about your corrected vision being worse than 20/200or whatever is correct. I’m not legally blind, although I am a bit of an opthamalogy mystery.)
