For the SAT I M be sure to know all the concepts tested on the test. It doesn't matter which book because all of them (at least the bigger companies) cover the math concepts that would be tested (even some of the higher M scorers on CC were debating what an integer was). After that, practice!!! It's just practice, practice and more practice. I can't stress this enough. I usually just do it section by section instead of going through it in a 4 hr period.

^^Great advice. I highly recommend Kaplan's SAT Writing and Math workbooks. They're full of practice and give you every single thing to look for on the test. I raised my score on writing from the high 600s to the mid 700s. Math is a little *** though. It's not that I don't know it, it's those dang careless errors in that little time period.

Keep going through practice tests and make sure you know the concepts tested. Manage your time- and take the hardest core classes at your school.
