Best way to raise Math and Writing Portion of SAT I?

I'm wondering if any of you SAT masters know a way to pull up a low (660) math and writing score into the mid 700s.

Any good prep books? Any good ways to study? I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Also, if you know any good prep material for Math 2c I would greatly appreciate any suggestions from that corner as well.

For the SAT I M be sure to know all the concepts tested on the test. It doesn't matter which book because all of them (at least the bigger companies) cover the math concepts that would be tested (even some of the higher M scorers on CC were debating what an integer was). After that, practice!!! It's just practice, practice and more practice. I can't stress this enough. I usually just do it section by section instead of going through it in a 4 hr period.

^^Great advice. I highly recommend Kaplan's SAT Writing and Math workbooks. They're full of practice and give you every single thing to look for on the test. I raised my score on writing from the high 600s to the mid 700s. Math is a little *** though. It's not that I don't know it, it's those dang careless errors in that little time period.

Thanks for the advice. Keep it coming :)

Keep going through practice tests and make sure you know the concepts tested. Manage your time- and take the hardest core classes at your school.

I liked the blue book the best.

For the writing, learn the format for a 12 and look over example 12's on this site.

For the math, go through it and try to remember all the important info.

Are the rocketreview books any good?

I think that Writing is the easiest section to improve on, then math, then Critical Reading.

I got an 800 on CR so no worries there. I just need help on writing and math.

Nice scores, pulling up your math will look real nice.
