Flash cards, study books/guides, class notes, class tests?? Any or none of these?

Read, read, and read seriously… Also practice frq and dbq, make sure u master timing

Yeah, basically just do detailed readings of US history. I mean, you won’t have to know a lot of the stuff, but I find it really helps. The Amsco US history book is a pretty good supplement, but don’t rely on any study guides. Learn the material first. And do this over the course of the year, don’t try to learn everything in April!
Memorize the year important presidents were elected/entered office. It’s an incredibly useful reference if you’re trying to figure out the context of something you don’t know…like Harry Truman 1945…Abraham Lincoln 1860…Theodore Roosevelt ~1900.
Just work hard and memorize a lot of stuff now, and studying will be pretty easy during the week before APs. Good luck!

My class has pretty much 100% of people passing out of like 200 kids every year, and one thing my teacher does is have us memorize 40 dates in American history, as thesunshine was saying. Here is a Quizlet link to the events. [APUSH: “America’s Top 40” flashcards | Quizlet](http://quizlet.com/7614300/apush-americas-top-40-flash-cards/)

It’s really a combination of all that the OP listed, but I’d recommend quizlet (linked to above I believe) as a great tool. To study for class tests and the AP, I went through my notes and highlighted the important people and events, then quizzed myself on those with quizlet. Ended up with an A in the class and an easy 5 on the exam :)

EASY 5!!! Dude, I can barely get an “A” in the class and I study a lot!!! My teacher said I could get a 4 if I don’t “freak out,” but I need to read faster. Learn how to skim. I CAN’T SKIM WORTH A CRAP!!!

^ I have an F in my APUSH class and I score perfect on almost every test. Grades are no indication of what your AP test score will be.

OK, here’s how you do well in APUSH. Follow these steps and you should be set for sure success.

Get a lighter, some gasoline, and your APUSH textbook.

Set the thing ablaze.

Buy AMSCO and use that instead.

Study three days in advance for each APUSH test: first night, read through your highlights; second night, do the practice MCs at the end of the chapters; and third and final night before the test, read through your highlights again.

I got 100% on every single MC practice test after I started doing this and went on to get a 5 on the AP and an 800 on the SAT II.

WHAT!!! How can you study for something like this in 3 days?..this weekend I bought flashcards. Yeah! Btw, are you being literal?

How about Direct Hits US History in a Flash?
