Hi there,
What is the best way to prepare to some degree or self study for AP calculus BC? I tried reading the Barron’s AP calculus BC book a bit and I found it very wordy and hard to follow. Even though I heard the Barron’s book is the best. I am just trying to study on my own right now and not cram for an AP exam. I understand that the fault might just be in me and not in the Barron’s prep book.
Follow the Barrons book, get some math books for concept. AND download the FRQ’s from past years online and do them seriously. They help a lot. You’ll see a pattern that they put out on the questions every year.
& you’ll probably find some mc practice tests too. Understand the concept and definitely do ALL FRQ’s that is available. (it goes back till 1998 on college board but you probably find more)
Instead of the Barron’s book try the book “The Calculus Lifesaver” by Adrian Banner. There are videos that go along with it that are available here: http://press.princeton.edu/video/banner/
does the calc lifesaver cover bc material or more than needed or lacks something?
I really like the kuta software free calculus worksheets. They’re great to practice the raw skills
@wildguy57 Here is the table of contents for The Calculus Lifesaver: http://press.princeton.edu/TOCs/c8351.html
You can compare that to what the College Board or Barrons says is on the BC exam. You ca also read the reviews on Amazon to see what ppl say about it.
