Currently attending SAC and have 29 credit hours from there/Blinn CC. My first question is, is it alright to take a few extra classes to boost your gpa?
Liberal arts admission for UT Austin seems to be 3.3-3.5 ish min.

I am currently enrolled in 12 hours and will add this to my total once I complete them, but don't have a gpa that up to par with UT just yet, is taking an extra semester or two ok to do?
I'm a sophomore currently.

Also whats is the best way to transfer in, liberal arts is what I hear?
Any help would be appreciated.

I would also like to know if taking an extra semester with “easy” classes to boost my GPA helps. I have a 3.45 but taking calculus and physics 1&2 is the reason it’s down. Would it be okay to take a semester with classes like lit, gov, bio, and speech?

OP: It seems that liberal arts is the easiest to get into, but I’m not sure. I hope so! I applied for it!

Depends what you mean by “okay”…if the objective is just to boost your GPA so that you have a better chance of admission, then by all means do so. If you’re asking about taking a semester of fluff, that’s really up to you. Your GPA is the primary consideration for transfer admission, course content is of lesser importance. You may, however, want to consider how far back you might be setting yourself in terms of the amount of time it will take you to graduate from UT once you get there with the credits you have taken or are planning to take.
