Best Ways To Imrprove Math?

Okay, so I've taken the ACT twice now, getting 32's on both. However, my math scores have been lacking.

My first test, taken in April, was really good for the most part. I got a 36 in English and my Science/Reading scores were 33's. But of course, Math was a 26.

Now, I'm not bad at math. In fact, far from it. My freshmen year, I just learned little to no geometry. And the timing thing also gets my messed up.

So any tips on how to improve both timing and just learn overall the different types of problems I'll see? I have the Real book, Princeton, and Barron's 36.

Also, my score improved at the June date, from 26 to 29.

Hey man. I’m a math major and it can be very hard sometimes, especially when some professors talk with such technicality. You know what helped me? Those for dummies books. They might work for you man. You can find some online free downloads. Good luck.

Make sure your algebra skills are perfect. Also, try doing some practice tests without timing yourself. In doing this, you should be able to understand (most) of the questions. Lots of these standardized tests like to play tricks or word questions certain ways. After you master the questions, then start timing yourself.

You don’t have to be at the top of your class to get 30+. It just takes practice.

Yeah, I’ve gotten 33’a on my practice tests but then I bomb the actual one! I guess it’s myself playing mind games?

And I just realized my typo in the title…
