Oh well I didnt like Millbrooks rejection letter. It was so mean, and it was kinda a shock. I went up there, they were extra nice the interview went very very well, we even stayed after the interview and talk to each other. My mom talked with the admission officer. They were getting along. And I knew I was going to get accepted because it went perfect. then the letter came in And it said" that there were more qualified people" that they couldn’t"deny"

I was like ***! But I went to the school I wanted and they gave me a tshirt, keychain, magnet, and a boxfull of chocolates!!! lol That wins me over.

you shouldn’t be surprised, inyxtee, things like that happened to a lot of people, stay cool, it’s the school’s loss, what school are you going to next year?

I got three identical waitlist letters from A/E and Milton.

But here’s my story: I called the schools. Andover was like we’ll get someone to call you and they did, Milton had my interviewer talk to me, and Exeter said that someone’ll be in contact. Well, exeter sent me an email saying “we closed our waitlist” five minutes later. Was that a coincidence? lol

Oh I’m going to Masters School. I didnt really want to go to Millbrook, but I was shocked I was denied. My mom said the same thing. Its just a front. But even if they did accept me i would go lol. it was too much like a cult to me

last year, my favorites were nmh (where I went) and worcester. Nmh sent the tube with the sports back pack and the bracelet. Worcester sent a pretty sick water bottle.
Williston north hampton didn’t give me anything when I got accepted so that had to be the worst hahaha. (I didn’t get rejected anywhere)

Exeter was the best for me because before the admission package was sent I got an email at 6 in the morning from them. Well, my mom did, I was sleeping. She read it and then jumped on me screaming in our hotel that I got accepted! And then when the package came it was a burgundy (exeter colored) folder with a sparkle bow and it was AMAZING! Andover was the worst. Their email came in like a week late and it wasn’t even an acceptance email. It was and email that in the middle of the paragraph said, congrats. Thats it. I wasn’t even sure I was accepted until I got the package. Ew. Good thing I didn’t really feel anything for Andover in the first place

Haha nice. My mom literally jumped on my bed. I was so happy, I didn’t even notice that she liked jumped on my leg. We were going to celebrate at Dean and Deluca and I came out of bed and I was limping haha. Oh well… We ate good food there anyway

Choate’s Acceptance package for me came with a personal phone call from the volleyball coach- best thing that I could have imagined, but highly personalized. I doubt the average student would be thrilled with my coach’s goofy ramblings and congratulations.
Exeter’s acceptance was very “GO YOU!” but it was the first I received and my mom was literally walking out the door when I ran up to her and screamed “WE GOT IT!” It was very special to me!
NMH sent a sports bag and bracelet, which I felt weird about using since I wasn’t going to accept, but it was nice and pretty cool! It came in a tube-shaped-shipping-container. I loved the packaging the most!
Andover’s waitlist was so cut and dry… When I called to let them know I was taking myself off the list, the lady who talked to me was much, much nicer than the letter.

Hearing your parent’s reactions makes me feel like I got cheated, haha… I told my mom I got accepted, and she was like “oh, good job.” My brother had been telling me for months that I wouldn’t get in anywhere (he was kidding… kind of), but his reaction was not nearly as satisfying as I had hoped. Ha, my family really isn’t an insensitive bunch of ogres. They never really supported the idea of boarding school in the first place, so I didn’t expect any enthusiasm.

The only thing I got was a lanyard from HPA… not that I’m complaning! The acceptances themselves were amazing enough! I still have all my letters (even my waitlist letter from SPS.)

I thought the Brooks waitlist letter was okay. I can’t actually remember what it said, but my interviewer wrote a little note on the bottom saying that they loved me, they just didn’t have the money to accept me. I liked that she told me the reason, but the reason really only made me feel worse.

thats hilarious! my brother is actually quite the opposite. he says that he’s willing to bet 2 dollars that i will get into the school of my choice (i’m applying for the 2011-2012 school year). thats a lot coming from him! he’s such a miser lol.

my brother is going to graduate from college next month! i’m excited for him. i can’t believe he made it this far. lol. just kidding of course. he is (surprisingly ) in one of the top five colleges for his chosen field (not telling which one). he’s going to turn 24 in september. yep. a 10.5 yr age gap but it works for us. we don’t fight that much because of it. however, being a 3 yr old with a teenage brother is pretty horrifying, but he grew out of the “tease my baby sister til she cries” stage. lol
i don’t remember much of when my brother was applying to college, but i still give him a hard time about graduating! he doesn’t really deserve it, but what else are baby sisters for?!

Exeter probably had the worst rejection letter, I mean they didn’t even decide to send it by paper. L’Ville’s acceptance letter was pretty cool because I stayed up until 2 in the morning waiting for the online site to open up, though the letter was pretty generic though…
Andover sent me acceptance letter in an fedex in a nice folder with a handwritten letter from the person who interviewed me.
I’m glad I’m going to PA instead of Exeter!
