Best/worst college apps or supplements?

Which college do you think has the best supplement (or app, if they don't use the Common App)? Which has the worst?

I like Columbia's supplement a lot, the short answers were very straightforward, and just the right length. I didn't like Georgetown's app, because they had a really open-ended personal statement for the essay that made it hard to figure out what to write, and I was annoyed that they don't take the Common App.

The Northeastern supplement was great. No additional essays.
I thought the University of Maryland app was pretty annoying, actually. The short answers weird pretty weird (“What did you enjoy most about last Tuesday?”) and I believe, collectively, it required more words than any other application besides MIT.

Brown’s is bad. Way too many essays

I hate Brown’s. It has the unique distinction of asking tricky questions and not even giving enough space to answer them properly.

Kenyon’s was by far the worst for me. 3 essays just for the supplement. One was “Where are you from?”

I agree with the OP that Columbia’s supplement is pretty great, straightforward but still with room to elaborate. I loved the UChicago supplement essay; I’d been waiting for the past year to answer one of the famous unconventional questions. I enjoyed answering Brown’s shorter essays, but I did have to do some strict editing to fit the word count… I’m having trouble with the long supplement essay for Brown, though, feels kind of vague in a weird way. Tufts’ supplement has fun questions, but a 250 word limit that’s sort of bumming me out. I can’t really think of a WORST supplement; I enjoy all of them in a masochistic way I guess, haha.

I HATED Rice’s supplement question (What perspective do you feel that you will contribute to life at Rice?). It was easy for people with a unique cultural background, not so much for me. I still applied though, and I think the essay turned out fine in the end xD.

I loved Yale’s supplement, though! The really short Q&As were interesting and actually fun. WUSTL’s supplement was nice too ;)
