Best Writing Courses (GEN-EDS)

I am in need of one more writing course so that I can graduate on time. I would like to know what is the best writing courses that I could take that is not time consuming (like multiple 5+ page papers).

I know that UH 300 courses count for both writing and honors. Son is taking one this semester, but it is not offered next semester, though a similar one is. He is loving the course. He has had to write a five page paper, but did very well. In his course, he read the Dante Trilogy, which he wrote the paper on, just finished The Prince, and then has some readings from Nietsche and more Machiavelli. It meets once a week. The professor’s wife teaches a course in the spring on Machiavelli, which counts as writing and honors, and I’ve read on CC that that is a good course as well. If you can register for honors courses, I’d recommend that one.

What do you need? An upper division 3/4XX class with a W designation?

Or do you need a 1XX class with the FC (frosh comp) designation?

What writing classes have you taken so far?
