Better Chance at Yale or Wharton?

Didn't get any replies in the chances thread so I am trying my luck here and on the yale forum.

I realize the chances of getting into either of these schools is ridiculously low but in terms of early decision where do I stand a "better" shot with my current stats. I really like both schools and would be ecstatic to get into either one, I am trying to figure out where to apply early decision but am torn between the two.

Here is my profile if you want to call it that,

You have almost precisely my profile. I applied RD to Harvard, Penn, Yale and Columbia, and was rejected by all of them. Ended up at Cornell. Transferred to Penn.

You have the scores of the average successful applicant to any of those schools - definitely not a shoe-in at any of them, though, and certainly not for RD. If you want to guarantee your chances, apply ED.

would my chances go up any if my SAT super score is above 2300, or am I at the point where that extra 40 points to my overall SAT has no effect.

Your pritty close to me EC and statwise (I would try to get your SAT up to 2300+ if possible). I got into Wharton LSM. Its a crapshoot.

If your SAT superscore is higher, your chances would go up accordingly. Probably not very significantly, though. A 2270 distinguishes yourself significantly to be considered as a serious applicant; after that, it is, as Rtgrove123 said, a crapshoot.

contrary to popular belief, anything business related at the high school related won’t help you much. By this, I mean interning, etc since the only meaningful jobs you can get until sophomore/junior year of college will be found through personal connections.

That said, your profile looks fine but you should try to work in more leadership. The reason business clubs etc work is because you’re going out and organizing something big etc. They want to see that you can have an impact.
