Hey. I'm a girl and I'm thinking about apply EA to MIT this coming fall.
I have a pretty good SAT I and II scores. And an alright gpa.
But what I'm really trying to ask is, would my choice of major in the school be a big factor in the admission process? Or when a small factor.
I'm planning on going into biology (and yes i know MIT isn't really for that sort of thing).
But I know that one of the popular majors are computer science and engineering stuff.
Now, I might not know anything about engineering, but I'd be willing to learn if it would get me into MIT.
So, would I have a greater chance applying as a bio major or an engineering major?

No offense, but if you want to get into MIT, you need to work on your writing.

No, it won’t help at all. All applicants are looked at the same regardless of major.

not helpful at all… sorry
I might not know anything about engineering, but I’d be willing to learn if it would get me into MIT.
this sentence of yours fascinates me why dont you look for college that suits you not the one that you want cuz of prestige issue? no offences just being realistic. people dont go to MIT to study … rather they have studied to go to MIT and want to learn more…

HOPE that helps
