Hi!
Anyone knows what is the significance of choosing your probable major in the common application? do you have better chances of admission if you select a less favored major over a popular one? In case yes, how easily can you move from one major to another after admission?

Thanks in advance

Your implications are sleazy. It would give you a slight boost, and the intended major has no effect on your actual major. But still, you're conning the admissions office.

That ain't cool.

It actually won't give you a boost.
Majority of the applicants are undecided, so the adcoms don't really bother too much about your intended major.

BTW... what is a less favoured major in your opinion?

IMHO Medieval Studies might be a little less popular than Business Studies, for instance.

it'll help if you can show that you're really interested in your major through your EC's i suppose
