UNC-Chapel Hill or NC State
I've gotten in to both.

As a transfer student? (Usually freshmen are looking in April.)

It depends.

Both are very respectable schools for CS; UNC-CH usually appears slightly higher in the various rankings. Both are in the Research Triangle, so location for jobs and internships won’t be a big factor between them.

NCSU does have ABET accreditation in CS and computer engineering, so it may be preferable if you want to go into a niche area where ABET accreditation matters (e.g. patent law), or take additional hardware type courses.

You can, of course, check their course catalogs and degree requirements to see which one offers the CS courses and curriculum that you are most interested in taking.

You may want to find out if the schools’ career centers will give you lists of what recruiters come, and CS major graduate career surveys.

For many students, the schools are close enough academically that other factors like cost and general campus environment will be the bigger factors.
