Better Geology Schools?

I've gotten into the University of Vermont, University of Delaware, and University of Colorado Boulder but I am very stuck on which one to choose. Aside from my feel for the schools I am not sure how to compare these schools' geology programs. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Help please!

Look at the course offerings in the catalog. Try to get a look at the course schedule for the current semester to see what’s actually offered. Read the professors’ bios. Look them up on wiki. Look on the website and see what kind of experiential training is available. Etc. My guess? All these schools will be perfectly fine. Barring any shocks (like all the professors appear to be unqualified goofballs at one of the schools, which is not going to be the case), you should go to the school that otherwise appeals to you the most because of price, location or school culture.

My D looked at Penn State, James Madison, and Delaware for Geology. Delaware seemed to have more of a focus on coastal/marine geology and they didn’t offer or require a geology field camp. You should definitely research each college’s website, check information for current students. That’s where she found most of the information that helped her make her decision.

You can have a look at graduate program rankings.
USNWR, for example, has Boulder at #23 for Earth Sciences. Delaware is #69. I don’t see Vermont in the top 100.

UC Boulder has one of the country’s most beautiful college campuses, with a spectacular setting in a lively college town.

What about your costs?

What’s your likely focus? Marine, volcanology, petroleum, environmental, glaciers or something else?

No real focus right now. And as costs, without travel included (in from nj) udel is cheapest then uvm then boulder
