Better late than never... but never late is better

So I have yet to complete my financial aid.

Yes i know what you're thinking "the due date was a month ago, you are a buffoon!(idk, do people even use this word?)"

Hear me out though, i turned in my FAFSA on time and my CSS kinda on time (read: a couple days late) but I have yet to turn my parents W2 as well as their tax reports simply because they just filed them.

Am i doomed for financial aid or is there a possibility I might still get some dough?

I’m in the same situation; my parents are not filing until March 28th. Please advise!

Us too, not even close to filing yet. Anyone from previous years in this position? What was the outcome?

They said to mail it in as soon as possible when you get them.

Finish those required materials asap. Your financial aid application will be processed based on the queue. It might take some time. But my experience indicated the office won’t ignore it.

I sent my 2011 taxes with a cover letter explaining our circumstances and why we’re filing so late this year, as well as an estimated date of 2012 tax return arrival. Hopefully they accept that and I still get some aid money…I’m in this situation with all of my schools.

I’m in the same situation here! Not too worried, and hopefully I shouldn’t be

I am in the same situation. I think they’ll understand.

So the general consensus seems to be that it’s not that big a deal, which is comforting for sure. But I also would like to know if I turn the rest of my materials in the coming week, will I be able to get my financial aid package before the May 1st commitment date?

Bumpppity, can anyone answer my last question.

It would be greatly appreciated.

You’re not doomed. Your FA will be pending until they get your documents i think.

On the portal, it says the received all my documents. Do you think I will receive my financial aid award by the May 1st decision date?
