i was in europe this summer, and i was talking about my options for college and my decision with some people over there (i picked harvard over nw7yr). anyways, the people in UK told me that u go to med school directly after high school, bypassing the whole undergrad thing. if you guys are interested in getting admission to med school, why doesnt someone try to apply to a foreign med school from high school?

the way i see it (and im probably wrong here), getting into med school in the UK from high school is far more common than getting accepted to an ivy or cambridge/oxford. so kids who can get accepted to an ivy or cambridge/oxford here have a good shot of getting into med school there. everyone there told me that i didnt really have a decision to make and that i shouldnt have even thought of passing up harvard over taking 7 years to become a doctor. anyways, its just a thought.

o ya, and here's for someone who messaged me or something. someone else might have the same q's:

i applied to like 7 med programs. it was much easier to apply to the ivies (although i only applied to harvard early). the harvard app would have been the same one i wouldve used for yale, had i applied.

as far as applying to the med programs, the only app i wouldnt reccommend is brown's, just cause you have to make 2 essays saying the same thing as 1 would for other apps. also, if u apply to bu, DONT waste time applying for the trustees scholarship cause only one symed (7yearmed student) gets it and your competing with alot of other really smart people.
