<p>I empathize with you and the position you were in, but one way of handling it would have been to tell your son that he couldn’t go to the party, and if he did go to the party, you’d turn those parents in. Hard as it is to be the lone holdout in this kind of situation, we can’t expect our kids to stand up to peer pressure if we’re not willing to do that ourselves.</p>
