better to apply as undecided or as a computer science major and why?

for undergrad, better to apply as undecided or as a computer science major and why? given your interest is in computer science and you're applying to top colleges. is it different for different colleges?

Yes, its different for different colleges. It may be easy to later change your major from undecided or something else to CS, or it may not. They may consider you for an alternate major if you apply CS and don't get in for that major but would for another, or they may not. You need to investigate the policies of the schools you are considering.

I can't find this information on any of college's website. does anyone know about yale, university of southern california, university of texas at austin, harvard, MIT, university of chicago, Rice?
